Star Rider from Fort Lauderdale - Florida

Hello to all you RVer’s from Florida. I found this website today and did some reading on batteries and charging system because I had one my battery went bone dry and melted the in-line fuse. Being the batteries were 5 years old I got my moneys worth from them. They were an Inter-state deep cycle batteries. I normally check the electrolyte level and terminals every two months. I have been camping since I was a Boy Scout leader since 1990 for 15 years. I’m retired from being a leader and still camp with my wife. All my kids are grown-up and out of the house . So it’s me and my wife. I have a 2006 Weekends Warrior FS2600 and a 2006 Yamaha Venture motorcycle. I have been to South Dakota – Sturgis, Tenn. – Chattanooga, South and North Carolina, Virginia just to name a few places with my toy hauler. I love riding my motorcycle with my wife as a passenger. I have met so many wonderful people on my journey in RVing and will continue to do this after I retire in a few years . There is so much to see and not enough time to do it all. But that’s what makes me keep going. I started with tent camping with kids and upgraded to a pop-up. Then we went with the Toy Hauler, which I have now. Then when I retire I’m going to get a Class “C” RV that I can pull or attach my motorcycle to. Enough said about me and my journey.

One more thing, yesterday was my 36th Wedding Anniversary

Hi Star Rider, welcome to IRV2, happy anniversary..... Like you, we were into scouts and tent camping. Had some really good times. Now we fulltime and head back to NC for our grandchildren fix whenever we can. Hope you can retire soon and start traveling the country. There is nothing like it. Safe travels.
