Sweet 1st Trailer squashed by roof collapse!

So great to find a community of folks who would understand. My wonderful 22ft Kit Companion was carefully stored indoors for the winter in Alberta with 10 other friends of various sizes. And it snowed, and snowed, and snowed. And the roof fell in. My brave trailer held up the massive truss so that most of its friends could escape. Alas, when finally removed it couldn't take me on grand adventures anymore. So with a heavy heart I said goodbye and have begun the hunt for a new 22 or 23 ft friend.

Last year we had six foot snow drifts in front of our house, this year not even half as bad. Had heard that you in Alberta were getting dumped on again this year. We've got a few more months of winter yet so start your research again for a new home away from home. Our local RV indoor sales start next month and I'm heading over to have a look at this one: Outdoors RV Mfg: Black Stone: to replace my 242RESL. Hope you find a suitable replacement.

Even stored indoors you're not always safe. Ours is in a heated warehouse and we also have had a ton of snow. I've wondered how others have been doing who have stored their tt's outdoors. One of the dealers up the highway left the slides out on their trailers, I didn't think that was a good idea for the winter. You'll have fun in your search for a replacement. Lots of good info here.

About your loss, sometimes I wish I had inside storage but then again when you hear of something like this I'm Glad I don't. Happy Hunting, At least this time of year there are a lot of Motor Home Shows around the Country.
p.s. Don't forget the pictures when you find your new TT or a A B or C...

Tim
