Hi Dave and Welcome to iRV2.
The good news: most RVs are kind of like Tiny Houses, but more mobile. The bad news: RVs need much more maintenance than a tiny house because they are mobile.
Full time living in a confined space takes some personal compromises and lots of discipline regarding how much stuff you accumulate but probably don't *need* to live.
More important, if you just need a residence, an RV represents a lot of compromise - you're likely to still need daily personal transportation (bike, motorcycle, car) or access to public transit. Full timing can reduce some aspects of your daily living overhead while increasing other living expenses. In a small RV that means laundromats, grocery shopping frequently, etc.
In most locales you can't just park anywhere for more than 48-72 hours without moving (although it depends on the city/county/municipal government) so you'll need a place to put your RV. RV parks can range from $15-100 a night, and you may have to pay for electricity by the kWh...
Finally, you need to have some mechanical and electrical aptitude as things DO break or fail and getting things fixed could put you out of your home for days or weeks if parts are on back odder, the service center is slow, etc.
Traditionally the reason to own an RV is that it does, in fact, move. If you simply want out of where you're living an RV will provide that but so will other forms of residency; if you have some wanderlust then maybe an RV of some kind will help satisfy that urge, too.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
