Thanks for the welcome

Hello everyone I have just started with tis forum Thanks for having me.
Right off I have a problem with wiring in my 1993 Monaco Dynasty. When I turn on the ignition all of my dash turns on, gauges, warning lights, trans shifter, jacks down warning bell and the like. BUT I do not have any ignition power in the engine room. And when I turn the key switch to crank mode everything goes off and there is no crank? Glen if you are on here I have read a lot of your posts and I think you may be able to Help me. Dick L.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the welcome!
To add to my original post. Our unit is a 1993 Monaco Dynasty Diesel push 38 feet. Powered by C 8.3 L. Cummins Diesel 92 or 93 vintage. In my original post I said I have ignition power up front in all of the dash functions but NO ignition to the terminal strip in engine room. When I move the key switch to start mode all dash function go off and the engine will not crank. I have traced the ignition wire through the terminal strip in the dash but I don't know were it goes from there to get to the back in the engine room. batteries are good and charged up. I can jump functions on in the engine room and they all seem to work just can't function them from the front dashboard key switch. Wire colors don't seem to follow and I do not have a wiring diagram.

Thanks for ay help you my be able to give!

It sounds like you may have a bad ignition switch, or you have a bad ground. JMHO. I
I'm sure someone else will be along and have a suggestion for you.

Dick,

Welcome to the Forum! If you can find a previous post with "Glen" in it, swipe over his name and a pop-up will come up. You can go in there and PM him and it will go directly to him.

If you go into your info and enter the info on your rig then people will be able to find it to help you and you won't have to keep entering it. Just click on "User CP" and the spot is in there, look around a bit.

Hope you find Glen and get some help, that is what is great about this forum.

Lynne

WOW, Thanks again to everyone for the welcome posts! TonyDi & beamisl Thanks for your suggestions, very helpful. I have found my problem, Kind of simple but obscure. I was doing a number of different things on our 1993 Monaco Dynasty, one of which included draining the coolant out of the engine. I had changed the front engine oil seal and was trying to crank the engine to check the belt alinement, it would not crank and I thought I had accidently disconnected something in the dash while I was in there disconnecting my Sirius Radio. In the end I found out if you have a coolant level monitor in the coolant system it will probably shut down the ignition if you have drained out the coolant. Long story short when I refilled the engine coolant everything fell back into place and all is working as designed. Thanks again for all the posts and happy travels.
