This forum is a "best kept secret" for the new, as well as expereinced RV'er. My wife and I have been "happy campers" for over 20 years and both of us are very impressed with the camaraderie and genuine interest from forum members, both beginners and veterans.
My wife and I full-timed for 4 years from 1998 to 2002 when both of us decided to return to work. I retired permanently in 2006 and we moved to FL where my wife continued to teach at the U of FL. We moved to KY in 2009 and enjoy the slower and less stressful lifestyle. We sold our Travel Supreme 5th wheel which had served us many carefree years and recently purchased a Damon Challenger motor home. My wife has been hinting, in not so subtle ways to begin the full-time experience again. What are some of your opinions concerning the full-time experience in a MH? We don't have the living area that comes with the triple slide fiver, but I think the MH would be adequate, even considering that we have a golden retriever as a travel companion.
We joined the FMCA and was surprised to learn that the organization had its beginning in our home state - Maine. We plan to visit the pine tree state this summer. We still have family living in the Bangor area.
Again, our sincere thanks for the welcome and the timely response to a question I had concerning the MH. Hopefully, we will meet some forum members on the road in our forthcoming travels.
Ron and Lois Cousins
