Thinking of purchasing our first RV

HI all.....glad to find this site before we make any decisions. Looks like there is a ton of info we can benefit from here. My husband and I are now in our late 50's and are beginning to think this would be a great way to travel. Going to an RV show this weekend to start looking. Wish us luck!

Start used and start cheap. RV shows are a good way to get a feel of various floor plans, but DO NOT buy. Depreciation on a new RV is a killer and finding out you either dont like the RV life or what you picked out does not suit you could end up costing a lot of cash.

I agree !!! Look at new and used. It took us two years before we found the perfect coach for us. We just got home from our maiden voyage (7 weeks, 8 USA states, 4 Canadian provinces, 5,300 miles, no problems). We had a blast. Take your time and enjoy the process. Best of luck.
