RVing since 1959 but first time RV group member. Washington State.
We first camped in tents, a step preceding RVing for many. Then slept in a station wagon on a few outings. On to a tent trailer, several camper trailers, 2 pickup campers, and a motor home. Our last two RVs have been vans. We bought our current van, a Roadtrek, new in 2000. It's only 17' long but the small size has a few advantages, particularly in parking when shopping in cities, museum parking, etc. It is a bit cramped inside, especially when lengthy rainy spells keep us confined, but we have been married almost 59 years now and have grown well acquainted with one another so the limited space is not too much of a problem. We are each 81 years old now and infirmities have somewhat painted us into a corner but we get out for a few 5 or 6 day stretches 3 or 4 times a year. We still love RVing!
