I'm new here and I need so much advice. I just purchased a 2001 Newmar Dutch Star and I'm missing info on so many things. I like to know for sure what transmission I have, what model chassis, how to care for this thing and lots other questions. I really like this unit and I like to care for it to make this last. I just became a full timer and I'm hoping I did the right thing. I have a model 4095 ..40' Diesel, Cat ( maybe the 3126B. I have no records but I do know it has new tires, oil change and thats it. gijoan12@yahoo.ca

Hi GI Joan, and welcome! No manuals anywhere in the RV? Usually there are many manuals for all the different systems... did you check all the cabinets? Hopefully someone here who knows way more than me will be able to help...

Thanks for the reply...love the little one...we do have info on stove, microwave, washer/dryer, furnace but things on the air brake system, motor, chassis & other things seem to be for more than one model...so general.

When I bought a used Fleetwood rig without manuals and documentation, I contacted Fleetwood, gave them my VIN and they looked it up and sent everything to me free of charge.

GI Joan: A BIG WELCOME to the iRV2 gang!! This bunch is one of the MOST helpful, friendly group of folks on the net. Ya made a good selection with the Newmar, especially for full timing. As mentioned, click BACK to the main index, then scroll down to the area labled.."Owner's Corner". Below that, find the "Newmar Owners" section, and open it up. These guys really know their stuff and can answer your questions, OR, guide you to people at the Newmar company who can help. Have fun in your new rig, and, we hope to run into ya somewhere down the road. Steve & Lynette

GIJoan..I would also like to give you a belated welcome to iRV2!
I know that if I call my manufacturer that they can tell me what I have in my rig.

Why don't you call Newmar's toll free number and ask them for coach info ?

Again...welcome to iRV2...we hope you visit & post often!

I met a nice guy named Chris at Independence RV in Winter Green, Florida and he helped me so much and even gave me his cell number. When I was finished talking with him, my brain went into over drive....People like yourselves and him has made me feel much better about this rig. I'm finding fuses, repair info and much more. Thanks again for everything and I plan today to call Newmar. Thanks
