Torn Thread On Slide Topper.

This is my first post. This web site seems to be a nice place to get RV information. Since my extended warranty is up, I'll be doing my own maintenance and repairs. Starting with my slide topper. A single thread came loose. I'm planning to remove the canvas material, sew the bead back in, clean, treat, and re-install. That should keep me busy. I just need to find out what kind of thread to use. I wonder if anyone has attempted this?

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum.

Sorry but I can't help with thread recommendations.

Best of luck.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum. If it was me, I'd call an automotive upholstery shop.

Hi Jim, I was able to find information on the internet showing how to remove and re-install a slide topper for my model. Since I'm a do-it-yourself guy, I'm excited to give it a go. My neighbor who also has an RV said he would love to help me. So we'll get-er-done if it every stops raining..
