Total Noob
Herself & I are still shopping it out . I am reading lots of threads. Pretty sure we will end up with a HR Navigator or something comparable . Something about 6 or 7 years old .Hope to learn how to keep it smelling good and have a quite ride as possible .She is getting very exited about the idea. It is becoming our dream, not just mine.

kaosktrl,
This can become very addictive but what a way to go. My DH and I have not bought either. Joined the forum just this summer and have learned a lot already but much more to learn.
There is an Owner's Forum at the top and if you check with them before you buy you might get some good info here. There is also a checklist under files at the top that is a good idea to print out for when you buy. Things you would not think of to check out.
Good luck with your search and purchase, hope you find the perfect rig, Lynne

Whether it be TT, 5er or MH the first thing to consider it Floor Plan.
To the extent possible try to purchase something that you will be comfortable in. Dont forget you will have to carry enough stuff to do all of the activities/hobbies you will be partaking during your time in the RV. Also you will not always be encountering perfect weather so be prepared to spend time indoors during inclement or unpleasant weather.
Will you be able to watch the football game while the DW watches a movie? Can you set up your hobby/activity during bad weather? Is there enough room for all of the dishes/cookwear/etc you would like? Is the bed large enough? Can you fit in the shower?
Once you decide on a floor plan you can look around for examples. Go to different dealers and sit in different units. Ditch the salesman if you can. Role play different scenarios like trying to cook and watch TV at the same time. Wander back and forth to see if there is enough room to comfortably pass by.
Once you find units that you like start pricing and determine brands. Check out the reviews of the units. Some manufacturers are better than others. Higher end models generally have better materials than others but the brand is generally built on the same assembly line by the same staff.
Good luck in your search for a suitable RV. The search will be exciting and the fruits of the search will be even more fun.

Another thing to do is go to an RV show in your area to actually walk through and see what you absolutely "have to have" and what you don't really need. Walking through go into the shower, will your shoulders fit or are there places on your body that will never get wet! Does the kitchen work for the two of you, is there enough room to get around the bed. Also, at these shows there are used units advertised and the new ones are on sale. Specially end of year models. Do at least one or more of these.
They are everywhere and all times of the year. We just went to one and it made a big difference.
Good luck, Lynne

Welcome folks, we travel with friends who have 2006 Navigator and it has been a great coach for them.
