Talking TX Newb - Picking Up '94 HR Imperial This Week

Howdy All,

My wife and I are kicking the tires on the RV lifestyle starting this weekend. I'm going to New Mexico (from the DFW area) to complete a private purchase of a 1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial. This is our first RV of any kind. Woot!

If everything goes according to plan, we'll have the two days on the weekend to drive it home.

I'm going to inspect it Thursday afternoon (3-17-2016). I'm guessing I may be starting a thread for help with any loose ends or 'undocumented features' I find. Or just stupid newb questions. Technically, a '94 now qualifies for the Vintage Forum, but just barely. On the other hand, the Holiday Rambler forum is mostly about the Monaco-built stuff. What's my best forum option for getting interest in questions about a '94 HR? (Mechanical questions will go the Spartan Forum.)

Hi Kurt! Welcome to the Forums here on IRV2! I am guessing the Vintage forum is where you'll find the best advice... It's where I got my beginning questions answered for my old gal, Honey. Bet you are real excited to go get it! Pictures when you do please!

My advice is read all the motorhome forums, you'll find helpful advice throughout the site. Ask questions, many have owned vintage units and will share their experiences with you. Good luck and have safe travels.
