Smile USNwife Saying Hi From VA

Hi everybody!! I am a true RV newbie. My husband and I just moved into our 1st rv about 3 weeks ago. He is still a few years away from retirement, but we just couldn't wait any longer. So throwing caution to the wind (after years of talk and info gathering) we sold our 2 story townhouse and got started on our second life chapter.
We will probably have a lot of questions in the begining. And I'm sure we will make some long time full-timers shake their head, but we are looking at this being our life. Ours is a slightly different type of full timing than others since we can't hit the road as much as we want yet, but we can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
So bring on the advice, laughs, and stories. We are open to it all!!

Welcome to the forum. I too was in the Navy, a long time ago. Congrats on your new lifestyle. I'm sure you will do just fine and enjoy the adventure that comes with it. Thanks to your husband for his service. If you find some time you should post some pics..

Welcome aboard, Navy.

Thank you and your husband for your service. So many times one forgets what the families have to endure when attached to service members. There are a lot of hardships for both, so again, thank you.

No, you will not be the first with a lot of questions. Everyone starts out with nothing, and then it all evolves into a great experience. This web site is full of good, useful information, and of course the not so useful but most of those are posted by me.

Welcome. Ask away. Good luck with the 2004 Winnebago Adventurer. I personally think it was a smart idea to buy a used one. Hopefully "all" the bugs are worked out.

Welcome and bring on the questions. I too was in the Navy and spent a couple years in Norfolk, but that was 40 years ago. I'm glad you and hubby started early. It is best to learn and work out the bugs prior to departing on a life of travel and adventure.

I recommend that you take a few shorter trips before embarking on a real long haul so you can work out any problems and to get familiar with driving and using your rig. I hope you enjoy your new chapter of life and you have the greatest adventures of your lives. Also, thank your husband for me for putting on that uniform.
