We are new here too!

Well, We are new here also. We started RVing in 1998 with a class C Fourwinds. Our travel was limited for two years as my wife took a position supervising a cleaning crew on rental units in Florida!

Then as we decided to start traveling and left July 6th 2001...as we were headed to Indiana to see our first grandson, a family situation occurred changing our lives forever.

To make this short we are raising another child since 2001, and he is now 12 and adopted since 2008.....Well MH was sold and we settled back down in 2002 to raise a 2 year old.

Finally, after 10 years we decided what the heck, and bought a 2001 Beaver Contessa DP in January 2012 to fulfill a dream we had once had. To travel and see some of the USA was that dream. We have only made it to several Florida State parks so far. And we are going to the Good Sam Rally at Daytona Speedway in November. School days make it hard to get far away, but a little bit at a time.

Myself, wife, son and daschund love to camp and relax......as well as visit with our two grown son's and their wives, along with 5 grandkids!

Hope to see some of you down the road......safe journeys to you alThe Monnells

Welcome, welcome! I commend you on your challenges as they sometimes can have a silly demeanor! (I mean the Doxie, of course - boys are a breeze!) Tee hee!

Please keep us updated on your travels, and have tons of fun at the Good Sam rally in a couple of months! Wish we could meet ya there, but we'll be in Texas then.

I certainly hope you continue to bring your son traveling, as I couldn't imagine a better way to grow & learn - especially with such loving parents!!

Congratulations on following your dreams. Life changes so fast. We have to live each day to the fullest.

What SP have you been to so far. We are planning a trip to Rainbow Spring SP this fall.

Safe and happy travels...Come on over to Mississippi if you have the chance.

Hi Monnells, welcome to the forum. Sounds like a great thing you're doing. When you get the chance, come on over to Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach (Destin). Give us a PM and the ribs are on us.
