and purchased a 2003 Winnebago Journey! Picked it up last Friday and headed out on our first trip this Friday. I grew up with a motorhome, but this is a first for my husband. Also my perspective as a child is very different than as an adult. Obviously we are extremely excited, but nervous also. If anyone has suggestions or recommendations they would like to pass on, we are all ears.

We enjoy learning from this site and being entertained by the stories.

First order of business...

Congratulations on your motor home purchase. May you enjoy many happy (s)miles in it. And don't be shy about participating in the forum discussions. Ask about anything RV related, someone here has been there and done that and will be more than willing to share the experience with you. You might also take advantage of our search feature. Anything RV has been discussed at some time.

Oh, and without photos, it never happened.

Happy trails...

Congrats and I can relate! Just closed on our second Class A and it's to be delivered over July 4th...whew hewwww. I can totally understand your perspective change from your childhood. Funny how those little things start crossing your mind as an adult...will we get a flat? ....what's that noise? ...etc, etc.

My advise is watch "The Long Long Trailer" and "RV". .....and enjoy, enjoy.

Safe travels to you and yours. :-)

congrats on the big step, we have spent the last year and 1/2 going through our 40 ft conversion to be ready in july or august to begin our journey.
as long as you enjoy each other and life in general,
everything else can be fixed or repaired as needed
enjoy and good luck in your new beginning
