What am I getting myself into

Hi, our house is for sale and as soon as it sells we plan on buying a motorhome and hitting the road. The more I read and research the more scary it sounds. We are older and don't want to spend our time sitting beside the road with problems all the time. Someone please assure me it's not as problematic as some make it sound. Thanks Marlee

Welcome to irv2. Knowledge is power. It will be helpful when ( not if ) things go wrong. It will depend on what you buy and how you maintain it. Very few get stranded on the side of the road.

Hi Marlee! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Since we're not fulltime yet, I really can't give you a good answer.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Marlee,

Welcome to the Forum! This is scary but a few things come to mind. Sometimes when you sell the house first, you can have difficulty getting finance due to having no address. If you plan to finance you will want to ask where you plan to finance.

Glad to have you with us here in the forum.

While you may look at a forum like this and be concerned about breakdowns. Remember that you are looking at a forum where people are having issues. There are thousands of others out there that are having no problems. I see the glass as 1/2 full.

Happy Trails!!!
