Will we be the young ones?

Hi All and I hope to meet many of you along the way. My wife and I are in our mid 30's we will be selling our house, moving into the basement of one of our rental properties and travelling full time for 7 months of the year. Will we be the young bucks? Don't get me wrong our best friends are in their mid 70's and they back pack all over the place, so I am not trying to be age-ist, just wondering?

Welcome to the forum!

We were pretty much full time for the better part of four years and traveled most of the U.S.. In terms of "full timers"... yep, you'll be among the youngest folks you run in to.

Best of luck.

Rick

Wait a minute... My wife and I are in our mid 50's and we were going to ask the same question!

Just make sure you're having fun and don't take life too seriously... It seems to work for all the full timers I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Depends on where you go. We have seen a huge increase in the last couple of years in people (whole families) living full time in rvs as they travel to where the work is, or struggle to survive after job losses, etc. Typically these folks will be younger. If you travel towards the more leisure destinations, i.e. areas with golf courses, water access, etc., and snowbird areas the average age increases significantly.
