Hi Foks! I have just joined and right away I need help. The air bags on my 1999 Winnebago Chieftain 36' are cracked and now wont inflate. My question is - can I safely drive to my Winnebago dealer for replacement? The drive is about 20 min. Does anybody know how much it will cost to have the 4 bags relaced (parts and labor)?

If your coach is a diesel pusher, do NOT drive the coach with the air bags deflated. You can do significant harm to your drivetrain by driving it with the air bags deflated, as it changes the geometry of the drive train.

P.S. I doubt that the air bags having age cracks in them are the reason for the coach not airing up. There may be some other problem going on as well.
