Hello i searched around for the last few weeks to find a forum to learn about DP'MH , and learn all i can before i commit to buying my first and only one , , and this looks like the place

so i will try and read all of the info i can on these models , before asking to many questions but will ask one now

DP for (winter/cold weather top priority ) ?

i like to take wildlife photos so I'm planning on out west a lot of the time as i need to get better photos of the grizzlies , moose and bighorns out there , before heading south for the rest of the winter , then return in the early spring to catch the newborns

as i see it wile looking threw all of the sales it is the right time to start looking at them more closely

so thank you for this forum

lil guy pic for you

mdel747...Welcome to iRV2! We are certainly glad you found us. You will find lots of information here...and one of the nice things about this forum is they have different manufacturer groups - so you will be able to read about different brands all at one time!

Your first question ... DP for winter use? I actually lived in ours for a year up in Oregon. We had snow at times and I did fine. You more than likely will use more propane -but it is more than doable. You can also use small portable heaters if you are hooked up to 50 amp service or if you are running the generator.

....Again welcome to iRV2. We hope you visit & post often...and oh- don't worry about the many questions. We are here to answer them ...so ask away!

PS...we are looking forward to more photos!

thank you very much for the warm welcome

after reading quite a bit OK all night , i came across a
travel supreme select , that i find has a R10 value dbll pain windows

they are orphans so parts could end up being hard to come by ,chaise for the most part i would think ,

I'm still trying to learn all of the new terms and parts involved
the radiant heated floors are sounding good but still i need to look up the systems to get to understand them yet , it sounds like they are all electric as i dint see the tank size for LP on any of there specs ,

but then again electric is easily made by the average guy now days with a little ingenuity ether its solar or hydro

but still have to look before i leap
