ad popup frequently on this site, annoying

almost every day when i login to this site with my android phone, a popup occurs saying you get a prize or approval for rewards, for verizon, tmobile, amazon or some other businesses. i can't close the popup so i have to close the whole page. i don't have the popup when i login to any other website, or using pc.

does anyone else have the same problem?

We've found the problem is with the cookies placed on your device that push the pop ups from sites you've visited A solution, aside from the ones posted above, is to uninstall the app, restart your phone, then reinstall the app. This clears the cookies.....for a while. Eventually, as you visit more websites, those cookies will push the pop ups again & you'll have to repeat the cycle.

the blocker is turned on but it won't stop it. the message appears to be from application server through ip.

thanks lori! i use only a few apps and all were from google play store. do you mean i should uninstall all of the apps first?

funny thing is - irv2 is the only website having this problem for me. you don't suspect irv2 has something to do with it (security weakness being exploited)?

To answer your questions: The pop ups are generated by Google - there's your answer.

No.

Instead of using the app, why not use Firefox on your phone. You can install uBlock Origin ad blocker and you can even sync all your bookmarks from your PC or laptop.

You know now that you mention it that's what I use. i have been a Firefox guy for a long time. I never use Google to search I use Duck Duck Go instead. it does not track you and yes the addons for Firefox would take care of all of this.

Yes, it has to do with a cookie being placed on your device. I get this a lot on my iPad, so annoying , but never on this site

I use Chrome and only get the popup when on IRV2, annoying but Norton gives me a warning and lets me get out of it.
