Just to be clear, all of the objectionable ads are in the right column?

Also, these ads are constantly changing?

Two days ago there were no adds even in the right column, now they are everywhere side top and bottom. Since the same thing happens on a different computer as well when logged in to iRv2.com and airforums.com it appears that this is not a problem on my computer. The OP has the same problem that just stared as well. I am just asking what happened.

I just enabled, on my account, Adblock Plus 2.5.1, using Firefox 27.0.1 and all of the ads disappeared. After enabling, I had to close Firefox and reopen it for the ads to disappear.

Please confirm that you have this version of Adblock Plus 2.5.1.

I also have my right column turned off. I agree, it's not ideal that doing this because it also removes the handy Recent Discussions. However there are 2 other places to see that:
  • In the Blogs section (right column does not turn off on this page)
  • When you're logged in, clicking on the New Posts tab will bring up the same listing (but much longer) of threads, newest to oldest.

Yes version 2.5.1 Add Block and 27.0.1 Firefox. I closed Firefox and rebooted. Add Block is enabled but the adds are still here. When I hold the cursor over the Add Block button it shows Blocked items on this page: 0 out of 227. What does yours show as blocked. thanks

There must have been some coding change in the ads. I had to manually select each new ad (LOTS of them) and add them to my "blockable items list" in ABP. Time consuming, but I don't see them now. (Firefox 27.0.1) When viewing this page, I see "9 out of 274 items blocked."

How did you do that. I tried right clicking on an add and then clicked block image from the drop down list and the add went away. But also all images in various post would not display and the buttons at the bottom of a post to Quote and Thanks went away as well.

After right-clicking the image and the menu pops up, select the last button, "custom." It should be displaying the url of the image only, not any forum configuration.

I started getting the same problem this morning. I played around with Adblock settings and ended up losing most of the icons as well as the adverts. Then I noticed that Adblock had downloaded an automatic update yesterday. I went in to the Add-ons Manager tab of Firefox and restored an Adblock backup from 2/23. Everything went back to normal. It looks like there was something in their latest update that doesn't play nice with iRV2.

I have no problems with the ads...not sure why you would as they are not malicious or intrusive.

That seems to work by setting up a custom filter. As you said you have to keep at it to get all of them. Thanks

Tried the above and while it did take all the ads out it also took out the

part of the posts, along with a couple of other things that I didn't want to loose. Why I don't know. I did manage to get it working again, but then I got all the ads back.
I just don't understand why one day there are no ads and the next they are everywhere. And it is just on this site, no other site I go to has this problem.
