Thanks, glad to know it is just not me. I don't mind supporting these companies that help cover the cost for iRv2. In fact I am a customer of several of the companies with ads. But the flashing and changing image is distracting. It s hard to believe that ads are showing up on Irv2 after the Ad Block Plus update and not on any other sites that I can see. Maybe iRv2 can provide some input.

Same here ... I understand the need for sponsors. I don't really object to "static" ads but I really hate the "dynamic" ads.

I understand there was an automatic ad blocker update on 2/28. If you do a restore prior to 2/28 it may solve this issue. It did for another member.

Nope ... backed off AdBlockerPlus to prior version and then one prior to that ... no joy for me ... and logged off and cleared cookies ... no joy. Also running GreaseMonkey and FlashBlock which help on other sites but not IRV2.

Thanks Cliff, .... for me, it's the "dynamics" that are the issue ... I don't hate ads since they are supporting the site and sometimes I do take a branch to a sponsor.

Thought I had most of them eliminated.
Signed on just a little bit ago and quite a few of them are back with the flashing to get my attention.
Will they ever end?

Everyone with the problem please post your;

operating system
browser and version
Adblock Plus version.

Adblock Plus works for me, by removing all the ads without any customization of Adblock Plus.

I'm running;

Windows 8.1
Firefox 27.0.1
Ablock Plus 2.5.1

I am running:

Win 8.1 with all current fixes
Firefox 27.0.1
AdBlockPlus 2.5.1
GreaseMonkey 1.15
FlashBlock 1.5.17

Mine quit blocking the same day as others.
Cookies have been cleared for IRV2 (not entire FireFox).

Bruce,

Please disable;

GreaseMonkey 1.15
FlashBlock 1.5.17

Restart your computer and let's see what happens with only;

Win 8.1 with all current fixes
Firefox 27.0.1
AdBlockPlus 2.5.1

Thanks.

I noticed that the new version of AdBlock Plus has an option to "allow some non-intrusive advertising". I went into Filter Preferences and UNCHECKED that box. So far, it worked to remove the new flashing ads.

Thanks.

Did that yesterday as well as went back 2 versions of AdBlockPlus, rebooting and signing off and clearing irv2 cookies at each change.

Also totally removed AdBlockPlus, rebooting and reinstalling.
