How do include a Readable Alias in my post instead of the actual URL

for instance on some bulletin boards ... the hypertext

<a href="http://~~~stuff.com"> HERE </a> will cause

HERE to appear in the post instead of http://~~~stuff.com

I see that some of the posters on these forums know how to do this ...

Thanks for your attention

Highlight the word or phrase desired for the readable alias by holding down the left click and dragging over it. Then left click on the icon above and paste in the URL. Click on OK and you're done.

I like to type mine. Ignore my bold type. It just allows me to post the url without it being the alias.

Alias Name

Should produce:

Alias Name

BTW - If you simply type in (or paste in) JUST the full URL, it seems it will replace the actual URL with the title of the page referenced. For example below, I pasted in the full URL of this thread and this is what it did automatically:

thanks guys for the help ...

As usual
1) it can be done
2) there is more than one way to do it
3) people on this site respond (and politely too)

This is a test MyWebPage

YES
