Joe,
Many years ago, like in the 1980's when computers were first becoming popularized, I ran into a cartoon. It is a picture of the surface of what appears to be a different planet. There is a human being looking down and an alien form. The alien form says,

Wait for it, wait for it.

"Do you remember what key you pressed last?"

I'm pretty sure those same words apply today.

My back arrow is not working here either. Just started tonight. Works fine on every other web site I have been on.

My back button is not working either. It is only on the irv2 website, none of the other websites that I visit.

Thanks guys, glad to know it's not just me! Obviously there is a problem with the website. Who is responsible for fixing it and how do we let them know??

Not having any problem here using Firefox 5.0

Those of you having the back button issue using IE? Is anther tab opening up perhaps? You can also try using the backspace key to go back as long as you are not in a text box.

IE settings can be rest also to try to fix this. Close all IE windows except one, click tools then advanced. I think the reset is on the bottom of the window that opens. Read what gets lost before resetting.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble.

This morning I spent some time testing with IE 9, Firefox and Chrome and could not reproduce this so... It's likely that this is a cookie handling issue. We use cookies to keep you logged in at page changes. Depending on your browser settings, or security settings, your computer may be purging cookies or browsing history at every page change. If so, when you click the back arrow there is no history.

Check out your browsing options > privacy settings. When you log in to iRV2 click the 'remember me' button. If you are still having trouble, after doing this, please let us know what version of IE you are using.

Other possibilities:
If you are using plugins (for your browser), there may be some conflict.
It's possible that your virus protection or security suite is also purging browsing history or cookies.

Tonight my back arrow is working fine! I am using IE-8. If it's a security setting then how can it change day to day????

Joe, believe it or not I had the same issue for a while two days ago. I had to click several times to get it to go back. Same deal as you, just on IRV2. I ended up setting my computer to an earlier date (like a month ago) not sure that fixed it as I got a new mouse pad for the laser mouse. Interesting!

Instead of using the button you can use the little down arrow next to the forward arrow. Click on that and a list should pop-up of previous pages. From the list you can select any previous page.

I'm sorry you are having this issue, but chances are good that it's an IE error and not something we can fix. The reason this is intermittent is that it's probably related to some image load getting interrupted or failing. When that happens IE decides that 'ooops there is an error on the page' and hangs. You can go forward but not backwards at that point. Your choices are to change browsers (Firefox is free), try an ad blocker, learn to click on the breadcrumb links at the top of the page to return to where you were earlier. It's the same number of clicks - just in a different location.
