It's definitely Google that is hijacking and stealing my back button and I suspect everyone else's and causing the slowdown of this site.

I can search with Ask, Yahoo, and Wikipedia and my back button works just fine, just like Google used to work.

It just burns me up that a company can be so greedy that they have to result to these tactics to make every $.0000000000000000000001 they can. Pathetic!

Goggle, without the quotes, "Back button no longer works in Google". Simply amazing how many other sites have this same problem. Google needs get off their high horse and stop playing like they are Bill Gates.

Over 15,000,000 hits.

Funny. My back button works just fine in Google. I'm using IE9 in Win7 Home Premium.

I used to use Givemebackmygoogle. Google has found a way to disable or cripple it. It no longer works the the way it used to. Instead of h**p://www.gmbmg.com/forward.php?search=%s, I now have one that is a mile long and excludes just about every search grabber on the internet.

I may sound like a radical, but I am not making this up. When I change nothing in my browser and what used to work, no longer does, greed is usually involved. The change certainly doesn't make browsing experience easier.

I tried FF. I'm a slow reader and with FF, the preview of a thread disappears after X # of seconds. Opera keeps it up long enough for me to memorize it.
