Chat Room Cut/Paste Function Disabled?

For some reason the cut and paste function no longer works. Was it disabled? If so, why?

Cut/paste is a very valuable tool even in the chat room... sure would like to be able to use it again.

I've had problems with cut & paste for a long time and I am not sure that it was enabled. Maybe it was but I've stopped trying.
