Choking to death on success
I'm sorry, folks, but this forum is getting to be completely unmanageable. I logged on a little while ago, having been off for about 30 hours, and there were almost 1,000 new posts.
I can't afford the spend the time browsing through all the stuff that's being posted, particularly with the long response times on IE8. This evening, the forum took 8 minutes from when I hit the icon in my Favorites file before the log in page was active. After I logged in, it took another 3 minutes to accept me, then the "New Posts" clicker took another four minutes to come up with the 20 pages of new posts. It's a wee bit quicker on Google Chrome, but it's still a PITA.
'Fraid I'm outta here. Don't have these kind of problems on RV.Net or Forest River Forums. I'll stick around a couple more days to see if anyone has any ideas to make wading through this dreck easier and quicker, but I'm not very hopeful.
