“clear cache” from the settings menu?

Does anyone know what happens when you select “clear cache” from the settings menu?

I am talking about the settings menu on the iRV2 app that I have in my iPad. Sorry for the confusion.

Clearing the cache removes old pages that are retained for faster reloading. I have that problem frequently when reading "unanswered posts" on irv2.com. I clear the cache and the 2 page then loads.

Thanks. For months now (now that I think of it) I’ve noticed that the iRV2 loads much slower on my iPad than it did before. I will clear the cache then and see if that speeds up the load process on new postings.
