Closed Thread on Parting Out Class A

Moderator closed the thread because discussions of buying and selling are prohibited on this forum.

The closed thread was discussing the concept of parting out an old DP.

No numbers, offers, or dealing were included in the discussions I read.

Yet I see other threads where people are disclosing sale price options and asking for pricing assistance.

I am puzzled as to why this particular thread was closed.

I found the concepts and response to be interesting and certainly not about a deal or negotiations or advertising. (Except that the owner was pointed towards this forum's classified section.)

Apparently a few members took it as an ad and began asking questions along those lines. You are not able to see the posts that were removed because of this line of questioning. The op asked if we had a classified section here and one of our members responded that we do. Sometimes it's best to move on to protect our Community Rules.

Ok, I guess it is easier to close a thread rather than redirect the content by deleting the offensive posts.
