Guess there is not too much interest in starting a Coachmen forum, only a few posts

Come on guys and gals. I am a first time Coachmen owner and it would be great to learn from other owner's experiences. I know, I know, there are general topics that cover many of the things we all experience, but a specific Coachmen area would be great. I am sure there are many Coachmen owners out there that don't even know this thread exists, which is exactly the point of having our own area.
Bring it!! That's a great big PLEASE!!

Phillip

It is under discussion to add additional manufacturers forums, but not brand specific forums so that owners of a specific manufacturer will have a place to discuss things specific to that manufacturer. We will post something on this as things develop.

Since moving to the new software the owner has been making adjustments to fit the new format and adjust the existing forums. These things cannot happen overnight.

It doesn't look like there are too many Coachmen posters. Too bad.

Since I first posted we had to take an emergency trip up north. This was really what you call a shakedown trip! The roads up north were terrible. We went from the Florida panhandle to Boston with our brand new Freelander. So we picked up the coach on Sat. and on the following Friday we were on our way. We got home last night and I'm so happy to say the everything held together. I cringed with every pothole.
Before leaving home it took us a while to figure out how to treat and then fill the fresh water tank. We've always had the gravity fill in the past. The coach book is not the Coachmen book it is a generic Forest River and doesn't talk about our type of water system. I emailed Coachmen and never got a response. We had a couple of minor issues, a water fitting behind the toilet dripped and DH was able to tighten it. A screw holding the toilet lid in place came undone and we fixed that as well. The only thing we have for the dealer to look at is the Microwave oven is giving us problems.

We're so happy with the way the MH handled. Loving the low profile, Breezy conditions and trucks never buffeted the rig. Excellent storage in the rear is as much as we had in the belly of our 5th wheel and as much as our last C which was a basement model.

We rented a car once we were up north but will probably have something to tow in the future.

For a 'Heads Up', a Forest River Owners Group was set up yesterday. To join click on User CP and go to iRV2 Groups then click on the Forest River Group logo.

It is set up as Forest River to cover all Forest river Products. If there is enough interest, a coachman group can be looked at.

With the industry changing so rapidly and some companies have so many brand names, it make it difficult to see where we need owners groups.

Thanks for setting up the forum
Actually, it's an Owners Group.... it's not a forum. There's a huge difference.

Andy is seeing if there is a way to let an Owners group work with something like a forum. He will let us know. He has a lot on his plate right now.
