The collapsed info is stored in a cookie. It should stay closed as long as you stay logged in. What SeeTheUSA is asking for is a more comprehensive system to customize exactly which forums he see or does not see.

This is just two different points of view. Let's just move forward in a productive manner. I'll get this system (link) installed after we get it upgraded to v3.8.x of the forum software (which we are currently running).

The comprehensive ignore system has been installed. I sent Janet some screenshots to show you all. In short, where you see "Thread Tools" you can select to ignore a thread. Where you see "Forum Tools" you can select to ignore a forum. When searching tags, you can ignore items with certain tags.

You can undo all of these settings in your Usercp.

Cheers!

I've never heard so much whining. It doesn't matter if your Norcold is in a CountryCoach or a Winnie...its still a Norcold. If this forum is overwhelming to you, I'm sorry. There's so much good info available, yet so people prefer to want perfection from a "free" forum. Of course, this is just my humble opinion.

OH yeah, there's also a thread thats devoted to the fact there are too many know it all's on this forum. Go figure.

I wish you, the original poster, all the luck and I hope you find what you need in a much more timely manner.

Thanks Jeff

OK - here's how this works. You can now ignore entire section of the forum or just a single thread via your account settings. Once you have set up to ignore a section or thread you will no longer see it displayed.

To ignore a thread: Open the thread and look at the top of the thread to find the thread tools drop down menu. Select ignore. (pic 1)

To ignore an entire subforum: Open the forum to be ignored and look to the top of the section to find the forum tools drop down menu. Select ignore. (pic 2)

You can undo either of these changes in your user cp.

To undo ignore: click on usercp on the upper teal nav bar to get to your accounts settings. Look to the left side menu and scroll down a bit to find 'ignore settings' make desired changes and scroll and click save. (pic 3)

Thanks for all the hard work you to to try to please all these picky people. Yes, I am including myself. I enjoy the forum and all the kidding we do on here. I also appreciate learning a lot of the technical information provided by reading the posts. Thanks again to all who keep us up and running!

Way cool! I appreciate the increased utility of the interface. Thanks to all involved

All please keep in mind, I have not disrespected anyone else's point of view, nor have I whined about anything in the process of suggesting a change. I have a specific reason --- I enjoy iRV2 and am trying to continue that on my "travel laptop," a little Dell Mini with a itsy bitsy screen!

Geesh --- some need to chill out! I took no shots at anyone's manner of iRV2 utilization - didn't really want such in return.
