There's a short timeframe for members to delete or edit their own posts. If you want a a post deleted, let me (or any Moderator or Administator) know which one & we'll delete it for you.

If I am in that short time frame, then where is that delete option?

If you want to delete a post (during the edit window), clickon edit. Next you should see a delete button.

There is a difference that I just found...A thread does NOT have the delete option..but a post does...

So what's one to do if one wants to delete a new thread?

At this point ... you do what you did and let a Mod type member know and we will delete it... which has been done.

I don't think there is a delete however:

I have been known to click EDIT and delete the content of the message replacing it with somethign like

"Sorry, Wrong thread, Moderator please delete this"

Sometimes.. .They do. (Far as I' know they have never not done so but frankly I don't always check back)

Or you can simply edit to something like "OPPS, Duplicate post" Please Remove"

After testing, we have found;

Members have the ability to delete a post for short time after posting, if the post is NOT the first post.

Deleting the first post will delete a thread, which only moderators can do.

L-

Nope, you can delete all, but have to leave three characters in the first post. Go try it in the Test section but not as a Mod but one of us.
