Deleted Posts

I have recently had 2 posts in different threads deleted. Do moderators routinely delete posts? And do they notify the person with a reason for the post removal?

Can you tell me what the posts were on and where they were deleted from?

I reviewed your account and see that one post was removed about a month ago. It was a response to a new thread started about campground hosting. The first post of that thread was removed as spam and so your subsequent post was also removed (in the absence of the initial topic, your post made no sense).

We generally do message members when posts are removed and if there was an oversight, I apologize.

A second and more common scenario is that members often respond to e-mail notices of thread updates. If you respond to one of those automated notices your response does not post to the forum.

Appreciate the responses. Not a big deal and neither of the posts I made were highly technical, just helpful comments.
