Here is the manual method.
Say you want to post the link for IRV2. The link is http: / /www.irv2 .com /forums/ without any spaces.
You start with a bracket [
then the string url= and paste the link after the = sign.
at the end of the url place a reverse bracket ]
Put your title after the ] example 'IRV2 Forum'
follow that with a bracket [ and the string /url followed by the reverse bracket ]

the entire string will look like this (WITHOUT SPACES except in your title)

[ url= http: / / www.irv2 .com/ forums/ ]IRV2 Forum[ /url ]

The results will look like this:

Just remember that forum software differs. Some require a set of quotation marks around the URL [ url= "http........."] so if one way doesn't work, try the other and if neither work they are using specialized forum software requiring its own string.

On many sites you can "view source" and see what format they are using.

Happy trails.

p.s., there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers.

I've heard that quote, but being in sales and trying to train some times they got real close to it.
One of those make you think WHAT?
As you can tell I don't mind asking.
