Disappointed with the New iRV2 Apple App

VERY disappointed in the new iRV2 iPhone/iPad app. It’s not user friendly. The old app definitely had it’s technical issues but it was easier to work with. It’s very difficult to know if there is a new reply to a subscribed thread. The old app would have a small red icon with the number of new replies at the bottom of the screen. The new app has nothing like that. You have to go hunting. I was hoping for some minor changes to the old app, not a complete overhaul.

If you tap on the icon in the upper left and scroll down you will see Settings. In there you can select your font size.

Like most things we get comfortable with what we know and resist change. I always say, get comfortable with your discomfort and change will be a lot easier to handle .

I find the new app pretty handy. Like stated above it is not like the old app, but in a few weeks it will be old hat....

I haven't looked at that app yet, but you might have to enable notifications in the Settings app in order for the icon badge number to show up.

I know change can be sucky. I don't often use the iPad/phone app so I don't really have a lot bad to say yet. The only comment I have is that it doesn't appear to default to the last view. As an example, if I was in the "subscribed" view last, I want it to go back there the next time.

I was disappointed with the old app. so the new one is not all that much different.. Did take me a bit to figure out how to log in though.

I see most of the issues like small font white v/s dark background are all addressed in the SETTINGS Charm. (Gear) if you lliked the look of the old one better.. Alas, that is not what I do not like about it. This new one is a slight improvement from my point of view. Very slight.

Ahhhh, that's better. It's not apparent unless you are at the main menu. I was trying two finger expand gestures.

I like it. Like anything new just takes a while to get used to. Made a few settings changes and learned my way around with a little trial and error.

Very slight improvement. Setting only partially work! Font size affects "post" but not the list of the posts. Many other similar half-baked things.

I for one hate it. I'll be using the full web version from now on.
