email notifications unsubscribe error messages

For the past several days, when I attempt to unsubscribe from a thread I get one of these two messages:
#1, Invalid Redirect URL (Sign In)
#2, An invalid threadid or forumid was specified
Is this something at my end or with the forum software?

Ray, IN,

I'm not having a problem. Sounds like it might be something on your end.

Ray - sorry to hear you are having trouble. Can you tell me what e-mail provider you have and what browser you are using?

I use hotmail, never had this problem until we returned from Ft. Myers Beach the end of April.
I'll try unsubscribing from IE instead of Firefox and see what happens. It must be my computer because others posted they unsubscribe normally.I'll get back with the results of using IE8.

UPDATE: Nope, same error messages in IE8. I thought it might be Firefox 13, but it isn't.

I have another problem with the forums. When I open "unanswered posts" I see the first page normally, however, attempting to open the second page results in the message " search results not found"? What's up with that?

Problems with forum use can be a cookie problem on your computer.

Clearing your iRV2 cookies is the first step.

I am on DW's laptop in Mitchell, SD using both Firefox and IE8 attempting to unsubscribe with the link in the email notifications. I still cannot unsubscribe from that link. DW's laptop has different settings in both IE8 and FF. This leads me to believe hotmail must be the problem. I will change the email address in my CP and see what happens.

You may think I'm nuts, but sometimes when MS does an upgrade either automatic or you doing it, it changes your settings. I.E. I could have a screen saver and after MS does their thing, I no longer have one. It wasn't a one time thing. I've had other setting get changed with an upgrade, and it's not just MS.

Ray, try doing a restore to a time before the problem started. You can always go back to undo the restore. It's saved my butt several times when I changed something and forgot what it was I changed.
