Flashing Ads

Are there some new flashing ads on the forum that weren't here before?

They really drive me crazy and none of my "flashing Ad Blockers" on Firefox will stop them.

I know ads pay for the page but the flashing/blinking is distracting.

No blockers will stop them since it is embedded into the page and yes that is how this site is free....

Flashing

If the adds help that poor girl sell "T-Shirts", then I like them.

I see 2 blinking ads at the bottom of the page. They are only present when reading a post, I do not see them when on the page with just post titles.

I don't see any blinking adds with Opera, Chrome, FF or I.E.

My ads are on the right lower side and are all RV related.

No blinking ads with Firefox and Adblock Plus.

Arch,
Try this, but be forewarned that you will lose campfires also and maybe get cold.

In FF, right click on the page, go to "view page info," click on the media tab. Check the box to block images.

I don't have any images except the avatar images. It will not affect what images are posted, only the embedded ones.

I hate those flashing ads also - drive me more crazy than I am.
Very distracting.

I also use "Cool Previews" an add-on that I really like.

I discovered The "view page info" thing and that stops the flashing.

I have no objections at all about ads. Just flashing annoying ads as well as the little emotion icons in replies.

I have just started using "Cool Previews" works great.

These are the only ads I see. I would describe more as scrolling than flashing or blinking.
