Forum Category Reorganization
The separate Truck Camper and Pop Up forums have been combined with the Travel Trailer & 5th Wheel section and that category has been renamed as the "Travel Trailer, 5th Wheel & Truck Camper Forums" to consolidate and streamline the forums as many topics overlap.
The new section looks like this;
* TRAVEL TRAILER , 5th WHEEL & TRUCK CAMPER FORUMS
- Travel Trailer Discussion
- 5th Wheel Discussion
- Towing and Hauling Vehicles Discussion
- Expandables, Hybrids, & Lightweights Discussion
- ToyHaulers Discussion
- Pop Ups Discussion
- Truck Campers Discussion

Could not the same be said for motor homes?

Sorry Richard and Dirk. I actually meant the owners forums. That is the longest of any grouping, and I suspect most posted questions relate to many different brands. I don't know for sure because I almost never read them, unless it is in the "unanswered posts" for a few days and have something worthwhile to contribute.
FYI, on the escapees forum there is talk of combining the MDT and HDT boards, resulting in a minor broohaha and references to the administrator trying it in the past with disappointing results.

You are correct that many of the posts in the manufacturer specific forums are generic.
However, we have found that many brand owners want to communicate with fellow brand owners.
As a result, we have no plans of changing the owner's forums as they are very popular.

My personal opinion about this is, you are combining towables forums and compacting boards for them, but leaving MH manufacturer boards alone. This is bound to create an elitist attitude among MH owners and contribute to the feeling that towable RV owners are somehow second class members.

The Manufacturer forums are not MH exclusive.
Seven out of the thirteen manufacturers in our Owners forum manufacture(d) towables, such as;
Excel
Fleetwood
Forest River
Gulf Stream
Newmar
Thor
Travel Supreme

They're both listed under the POWER TRAIN GARAGE FORUMS section.

I say go ahead and combine them if you think it will be more efficient to use that way. No matter what you do or don't do, someone will have a negative comment. Lets not make a big deal out of something this minor, there are a lot more bigger fish to be concerned with. JMHO
