No. The number of posts per day have increased or stayed the same for the last week the ads have been around.

My work around is that I don't click on anything on the thread I am looking at except to "right click" and open in new tab. So I can X out the ghost ad and when I close the new tab I'm looking at, FF brings me back to the original thread page. No loss, no reloading. Works great for me.

Hey folks - the bottom banner ad has been removed for active members with 10 or more posts. Hopefully this will improve the surfing experience for dedicated members and encourage lurkers to step up their game

Thank you for understanding what a PITA it was to have the screen reduced, we appreciate it's removal.
