I know I'm slower than most but I just recently noticed a very nice feature on this website. It's called "First unread post" and is located on the left side of the page in the bar just above the first post.

When you are following a thread and don't want to read through all posts to find the recently added ones just click on "first unread post", I need to pay more attention to detail.

And, when you hit 'New Posts', look for the little 'down arrow' at the beginning of the topic line... it'll take you right to the 'New post' in that thread..
