I'm having random issues where I have to re-log in to be able to post in the forums. I'm logged in (seeing my Welcome, NLOVNIT [Logout])in the upper right, happily going about my business of posting new discussions & replying to others, when, all of a sudden, I get the pop-up screen where I have to log in with my username & password & check the "remember me on this site" check box. My first clue that this has happened is when I notice my member name is no longer displayed in the Online Now: section as being in the forum I'm in. There seems to be no pattern or reason for it, but it's been happening for the past month. It just NOW happened when I tried to reply to a post after I had just finished replying to a different post. I had to re-log in to be able to post this new topic.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same issue & if there's something that's causing it.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I had a similar problem awhile back but I haven't seen it lately. I was only automatically logged on if it was the first tab. Any other tab would not log me on and I had to enter everything. I tried recreating the problem tonight but I opened three tabs to iRV2.com and was automatically logged on to all of them.

Lori,

Sorry you're having such issues. You might want to try clearing your Cookies and Temporary Internet files to see if that will clear it up for you. Let us know what happens if you clear them.

Richard,

That was the first thing I did when it started happening a while back. You wouldn't believe the time I had trying to remember all my passwords to all the different sites I frequent. Had to ask for new temp passwords from about a dozen sites because remembering was hopeless. Don't wanna go thru that again! Note to self: Document usernames/passwords BEFORE deleting cookies in the future!!

I can't remember if it helped, but the re-logging in started up again recently (I'd say, within the past month) & happened again just yesterday. I'll start a log to keep track of times & dates if it keeps happening. Thanks.

You don't have to delete all of your cookies, just the ones for iRV2.

Go to your profile, and on the left, click on the cookies button, then click on #2 to delete the cookies from this domain.

I have a notebook with 4 pages of my logins and passwords. Well.....most of them, anyway.

Oh my gosh, Dirk. I didn't know that I could delete just iRV2 cookies. Thanks for letting me know. That'll be a life (& mind) saver for me in the future.

As usual, there will be no charge for the assistance.

Well, it happened again - just now. Even after deleting just my iRV2 cookies. It's gotta be some glitch in the system. It's just frustrating since it isn't related to anything.
