How do I include a photo? Does it have to be posted on the web first?

LK,I would recommend uploading the pic to the photos site here first then doing the following...(A web address from anywhere will work though.)

"Right-click" on the photo and go to "properties". "copy" or make blue the "url" of the photo, )http:...whatever"address.
Then come over to the "post a reply" area and when you click the reply, you will see a row of selections across the top.Click on the one that looks like a picture, second from right and then "paste" your url there...Click "post now" and you're done!

Great reply and advice. I tried to post to a photo album but did not have permission. How do I obtain permission?

One photo at a time is the way the photo site here is set up....I have like 80 here, so I've been busy!

Log in to photo section click upload....I usually save them to "members gallery" area....easier to find them again.

Warpath may have "permissions" activated,we've had an issue lately with spam photos....let me contact him....BRB

LK, just received word from Bill (Warpath) that you hadn't registered for the photo forum...

It is a separate registration...Many of us,for simplicity sake simply use the same login and password, but you decide that one.

You mentioned posting a photo album....are you trying to post that HERE in Winnebago,or in the photo section?

Again....RE-register in photo and one at a time.

I am attempting to post a single photo with a question. How do I apply for permissions on photo album?

LK23, Not sure what you mean by a photo "album"...You can post a single photo in a post,as long as it is web "hosted" somewhere, which gives it the "http" address.

Then you simply click in the post a reply on the photo icon.
Did you ever go to the photo setion here and try and upload it?

When you get a chance,I've sent you a reply PM with my cell number.....PLEASE give me a call and I can try and walk yu through this issue.

LK23....Once you get registered, I just tested this in the test forum....You CAN simply keep adding pics in your post to create an album in your post....Like this.
I simply right clicked and pasted the url's in the image...

I have taken the picture over to test site but can't "post now" because pic takes up whole message area. How do I make photo smaller so I can write something in message along with photo?
Thanks Bob been following your instructions for LK23,but can not post because pic takes up whole message area.

You "should" be able to start typing your description, then add the photo....like this...

If not,do you have photo editing software where you could resize the picture and then upload it smaller?

Send a message via AIM to oemtech
1) Go to the photos section and join. This gets you a separate login.
2) Once logged in you can upload photos and assign to various categories or you can create a album.

But first you need to get the photos ready to load. I use IrfanView to reduce the size to 800x600 and reduce the resolution to about 75% of the original. This gets the picture around 100k. Good enough for the net but not good enough for printing.

Once loaded on irv2.com you can click on the thumbnail to get a larger picture. Now right click the picture and click "copy image location". You now have the url of the image on the clipboard. Now go back to your post and click the image icon and paste the url and click ok. Finish your message and click post.
