How Do You Insert Photos?

I tried to put a photo in a post the other day and found that I had to have a url for it. I don't keep photos online. All other forums I have been on allow you to upload photos directly from your computer.

It looks to me that I can only upload a video that way here.

I also tried dragging and dropping one in but only exceeded the limit of the post with characters.

I can't find any tutorial on it.

So, how do I do it?

Thanks, Robert
