Inserting photos into text - not at end of post

I searched the site and did not find an answer. I know how to add a photo attachments at the end of a post, but that is not what I'm looking for. I would like to post a step by step procedure that includes text and photos. The end result would look like this:

1. Intro paragraph - blah, blah, blah...

1a. Picture showing what I blah-ed about...

2. Followed by a paragraph of more text...

2a. Following by a picture showing what I blah-ed about in previous paragraph...

3. Followed by another picture and text...

4. Rinse and repeat.

I tried uploading an image into the photo section and then connecting with a link - but it did not work. I tried uploading an image - but it went to the end of the post.

Thanks for your help!
Heinz

Blah blah

Blah blah

Blah

I use a photo hosting site and copy the IMG coded text then paste into the message. If you have the properties of the image, put it between IMG tags. These can be inserted anywhere as can text.

Example: [img]photo properties[/img]

I use Photobucket for my photo hosting site. Once I have my photos there I click on the photo that I want to post. This is what you want to see:

Put your cursor in this window (IMG code) and click on the text. It will copy the code. Paste the code where you want it in your message:

Just put your descriptive text in between each code and it will look like this message. I usually put a space before and after the image.

Hope this helps.

John, we can't see what's on your computer, you must use a photo hosting site to put those pix properties into the message body.

My pix look like this;

We should be able to see the photo attachment so that we can do as you wanted. Much like adding additional quotes and adding text to follow. Perhaps the admins can look into this.
Just like the iPad app allows.

Steps I use to add photos mixed with text:
1. Upload photo to our Photo gallery
2. Right click on photo & click on the Properties
3. Highlight & copy URL address
4. Type [img]
5. Paste photo URL
6. Type [/img]

Photo will appear like this:

Then you can keep on typing & add another photo:

etc.....

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Note: When you host your photos here or on another site (Photobucket, Flickr...etc) & you move or delete the photos, any photos you inserted in posts will no longer show.

Using the Photobucket instructions provided above....

And it worked - seems like there would be something easier than that inherent in the IRV2 website.

In the meantime... thank you VERY much!

The smaller pics were smaller to begin with. We resize pics smallerto make them load quicker.
