Interfering Ads
Recently on various IRV2 forums an advertisement will appear blocking the list of topics posted by readers, the x in the upper right hand corner closes the ad but the space occupied by the ad remains and continues to partially block the topic listing. Am I the only one annoyed by this?

I don't get that but there are lots of other things that bother me but not enough to keep me from answering post.

I use Firefox with AD BLOCKER PLUS ........don't see any ads. Currently 28 are blocked

Are you logged in when seeing this ad? Who is the ad from? Can you get us a screenshot of it? How are you accessing the forums? Computer, tablet, smartphone/app? With what system/browser are you accessing the forums?
Remember, ads keep the lights on & allow you to have free accounts here.
We get a lot of these vague ads-blocking-the-site complaints but without detailed information about both the ad & your device, we can't investigate them.

I understand ads are needed but they now are appearing interspersed frequently with our messages as opposed to along the border or at top and bottom. That is new and rather intrusive especially when it interferes with the dialogue. So do the lights now cost more?
AND if we start using ad blockers aren't we really heading down a path we don't want?
