However, the Droid X has so much going for it, I'm quite satisfied with it and glad I made the change.

BTW, if you're a VZW customer, you don't have to wait until your NE2 time is up. You can pay a $20 upgrade fee and get a new phone once a year.

I forgot to mention all of the apps available that the BB doesn't have.

I have my iPad because I told my Santa what he was buying me. Love the iPad and the App. Didn't know this site existed until I searched the App Store.

Why not just make IRV2 mobile friendly

This may be a bit of sour grapes since I use one of the minor players in the smart phone market.

But wouldn't it be nice if all the effort spent on the custom Apps for the iXXX and Android were to be invested in making the iRV2 website mobile friendly. Then all devices would benefit. For a while at least it looked like the web might be commonizer in that all devices that had a web browser could access almost all content on the web.

This is now being reversed with the advent of Apps.

Of course the device vendors would rather have something that locks you into their device now and forever. Those people with iPhones you are being set up to always want an iPhone, just think of the migration issues you are going to face if you switch from your iPhone to an Android or Windows based device.

And note that this migration issue applies to ALL of the platforms now. iPhone, Android, Windows, etc.

I'm not sure Apps were a good idea. They have splintered the market.

Just want to report the droid version works ok on my Motorola Xoom tablet too! Not sure there is any advantage over just using the browser, though.

IRV2 Apps

I just downloaded the irv2 app on my Ipod.
Works fine.
Thanks for the tip.

The app worked fine on my Droid X for a while, then it crashed. I've ried to reinstall it twice, and all I get is an error. So I just use the normal browser.

I have the same issues on my Thunderbolt. Very limited app and crashes constantly when trying to go to the Net.

I have a Thunderbolt, and it has always worked for me, not that I use it a lot (I just tested it again, but prefer to use the computer when I can). Are you confident that you're in a good coverage area (for use of the 'mobile' feature). You can also connect using a wifi hotspot, I've used mine that way in restaurants, as example.

I have the App on both my iPhone and iPad. In fact it's pretty much how I found iRV2. I visit two other RV forums and I must say I like the iRV2 interface the best. It puts on a good face to the RV community. Congratulations.
