While I agree $15.03 is a small price to pay per user, may I ask what the potential (hundreds of) thousands of dollars is being used for?

I'll check into the whereabouts of the last sticker shipment & when the next one's going out.

The money goes to support the site, just as the Sponsors money & the ad's money does.

As for the (hundreds of) thousands pouring in, well that's a bit of a stretch. I can research how many members have the Supporter status, but I doubt it's much over 300. 300 x $15.03 is about $4500/yr.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Potentially hundreds of thousands? LOL . Maybe if this was RV.net, and then that's a big maybe , for a site and community as small as iRV2 not-likely.

Given that this site averages around 1600 active users, and using the standard that if you offer a pay option and still allow the same level of access for non-paying, you'll only get between a 1/8-1/5 that will actually pay money to be a member, giving you the roughly 300 person figure Nlovnit gave.

As to where it all goes, it depends on if the website is owned by a non-profit or an LLC. If the later, some of the funds go towards the operation of the site, some towards a savings to cover short months, there's the taxes and a whatever is left after all the business expenses is the actual profit margin of the site.

If it's a non-profit, then all of the funds simply cycle back in an account and whatever the site needs consumes from that, minus any administrative expenses.
