Nope. PayPal said it was a login from South America. Since I cancelled the transaction before any monies actually changed hands there wasn't anything they could do. They aren't going to pursue and it would cost me way too much to pursue on my own. This is the age we live in.

That's another reason I removed my bank account. For all the security offered by PayPal, the inherent weakness is your login information. That goes for any website. I now have one credit card I use for online purchases and my bank account is not linked to anything.

Your story reminded me to change my PayPal password and so I did it just a minute ago. I changed my email address in 2011 but I had used the same password since 2000. My two challenge questions are pretty good so I left them as is.

Well I was a supporting member for the last couple of years. What happened to the automatic renewal.

That's something you have to instruct PayPal to do or remember to manually do it. We don't have any contact with PayPal in regard to this.
Hope that explains it.

For this reason, I have NEVER linked my bank account (nor debit cards) to any online account. I use PayPal linked to a credit card so I will have the option to dispute any suspect charges with the credit card company.

Mark--if your Paypal account is linked to a credit card, you might need to update the expiration date on new cards or something. If your card expires, it won't be any good on any auto-payment.

Actually it's originally set up to be reoccurring. You must have instructed PayPal not to automatically renew. We can't do that.

One question, how long before the IRV2 decal arrives after becoming a supporter. Want to proudly display as we travel, also where do we go to look at things to purchase as a supporter.

They're sent out in batches. I see you're a new supporter. Thank you. You should be receiving it shortly. Here's a link to the irv2 store ( if that was your second question ).
