I have been sending e-mails for several days now asking why I can't log in properly. I have to "come in the back door." My messages have not been answered. Hence this public post. Can you help me? I have been unable to access my private messages.

Thanks, Cal R.

Moved this here from the Workamper section - it wasn't likely to attract much attention there!

Don't know where your emails were directed to or what happened to them but will try to help. What happens (or doesn't happen) when you try to log in?

Also, what do you mean by "back door"? Your message is posted under your name, so it appears you are indeed logged in.

I monitor webmaster email, but have not seen anything about this.

To get to the Private Message feature you can click on the go icon, than private message link or the New PM! icon or within your My Space area.

I guess I would need more information to figure out what problem you are running into.

Bill

I have been sending e-mails to the "contact us" notice at the bottome of the screen but with no success.
Today I was able to log in on the third try and checked the workamping forum. Then I decided to try my private messages and can't log into that area, even though I was logged in to the other site.

What I get is the same screen comes back and says improper name or password but it is correct.

This shouldn't have to be discussed publicly.

Cal -

The only thing I can think of is that you are having a issues with your cookies.

Click on the "Go" button up top and click on "My Space" then to "Preferences" and finally to "Cookies" There you can check to be sure that your browser is setup to accept cookies as well as delete them if they have been corrupted.

Let us know if that works.

BTW it does seem that the webmaster mail is down, and I will look into that.

It says I need to log in and then it says log in failed. So I try it again and again and finally give up.

This time to reply to you, it went straight to a message block.

CalRed,

I'm totally confused, or don't understand exactly what the difficulty is that you're experiencing.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not saying there isn't a problem, only saying that I haven't grasped what it is yet and I'll need to do that before I can help you.

I don't understand why you indicate "login failed" when you are actually already logged in. The fact you were able to post these messages is indicative that you are logged in to the iRV2 forums.

At the top right corner of this thread it should read "Welcome, CalRed [Logout] " when you are logged in. Does it read that way?

Once logged in the system doesn't require a subsequent login to utilize the Private Messaging feature. If you're not logged in you wouldn't be able to post anything.

I'm going to copy and paste this post into a PM and send it. If the system is working correctly you should see a new tab reading "PM" immediately to the right of the upper "Reply" tab. Let me know if you get that on this thread or, if you're able, click it and respond using a PM.

More confusion. After your last post,I attempted to send a reply. I noticed first that my name appeared at the top of the page where it says people are logged in. But it did not say Welcome Cal. It had the space to log in.

However when I tried to go to "go" and check my private messages, it would not tke my sign in and kept saying log in failed.

When I tried to make this reply to your message, it again asked me for my information, I gave it and then this screen showed up and I can reply. When I finish this post I will try to check my private messages again.

Cal

Cal,

I really don't know what else to tell you.

You've already cleared your cookies and I presume deleted the Temporary Internet files in case they're corrupted. You've probably rebooted your computer too.

Our systems at iRV2 are functioning as they should be and we're not receiving any trouble requests from other members such as you have. The problem is on your end, perhaps a conflict in your operating system or a corrupted file.

Let us know if you get it working.

Hi CalRed. I own another site that is on the same server as iRV2. I'm not an expert by any means, but we have gone through some issues and I may be able to help.

What web browsing software do you use?
