I see Google is going to turn on the default ad blocker in Chrome, effective today. Here's an article that explains some of what they're doing:

https://www.theguardian.com/technolo...chrome-browser

One note I thought was interesting in there. "Among the list of banned ad types are anything that pops up, makes noise, blocks the screen or won’t go away. But it also includes sites with an advert density of over 30%." Just sayin'...

new finding...

yesterday i accidentally dropped my lg v20 phone which runs on chrome, the screen was smashed. i pulled out my old samsung note 3 which has 'internet" brouser rather than "chrome". while i lost my lg phone but i am kinda happy that i no longer see the annoying popups on this site!

what said "what you lose on the swings, you gain on the roundabouts".
