Mentioning Other Forums

We've been told that this forum does not permit mentioning other RV Forums. So I'd like a clarification on this matter. Thank you.

Following. There are other online resources and sites that sure I'd find useful, if I knew of them. Facebook groups also are so very different from forum that in particular I'd like to be able to find those.

Thx for asking the q.

While we do permit a reference to a specific thread or post in another RV forum that may help one of our member's resolve a specific issue, it's not appropriate to refer our members to another RV forum to post their questions, general reading, or suggest they join another RV forum.

iRV2 is for the discussion of topics here for our members. Suggesting our members go elsewhere for discussion is a akin to someone coming to a party at your house and notifying your guests that there's a better party at another house.

Thanks for understanding.

They are very jealous here. You also can't drink Pepsi in the Coca Cola company's break room

Why would anyone want a Pepsi instead of a Coke

I'm on three RV forums but I never mention any of them as I think it's just not polite.

It costs a fare amount of money to keep a website up so I try to be as respectful as possible to the owners of the respective websites.

This particular RV forum is my favorite and we have a lot on knowledgeable people on here, not to mention the ads are not annoying.

I've been on and a mod at forums for the last 20 years and they've always been like this. It's a courtesy thing. Every one I've ever been apart of would let you post helpful links to someone as long as it wasn't a direct competitor to the forum. An example would be if you're having engine problems in your rv you could post a link to the rv maker or the engine maker forum if they have one.
